James Wade is a composer of Australian and New Zealand ancestry. He has composed for a wide range of ensembles including orchestral, chamber, electro-acoustic and vocal music.

His music has been broadcast and performed by a numerous ensembles in Australia and internationally including the Australian String Quartet, the Halcyon ensemble, the Melbourne, Tasmanian and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras and the Sydney Symphony Fellows.

The Sydney Symphony Fellows will be performing Liujiang Ancient Town for mixed ensemble on 23, 25, 26 and 27 July 2014 during their NSW tour with concerts in Sydney, Taree and Newcastle. More details here.

The Australian Ballet's Melbourne season of Bodytorque.DNA sees the performance of Corpus Callosum choreographed by Richard Cilli with music I composed. Performances are on the 17th, 18th and 24th June 2014 at the State Theatre with Orchestra Victoria.

The premiere of The Cosmic Dance for winds, brass and percussion, at 7.30pm on Saturday 6 April 2013 at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Elizabeth Murdoch Hall by the University of Melbourne Orchestra conducted by Benjamin Northey.
